1. Lumibricks launches its new Blade Runner 2049 sets
Since 29 September, Lumibricks’ new Protein Farm Living Quarters (23002) and Street Market (23004) sets have officially been available to order. Buying both models together also unlocks The Creation of the Replicant (23011) as a promotional gift. The 170-piece mini set is limited to 700 copies, with the promotion scheduled to run until 28 October or while stocks last.
2. BlueBrixx launches a new pirate world with La Perla Azul
La Perla Azul: The Harbor Master is now available as the first model in BlueBrixx’s new pirate series. The set contains 5,952 pieces, costs €249.95 and is clearly aimed at experienced builders. The harbour is the starting point for an expandable island world, with further sets planned.
3. Pantasy expands its city line with a Library and Bakehouse
Pantasy continues to grow its architecture range. The 2,956-piece Library (85077) is now available and features a fold-open, historically inspired library with a detailed interior. At the same time, the 2,877-piece Bakehouse (85052) has already been announced as the next major building release.
4. COBI secures the Flying Bulls licence
COBI is expanding its licensed portfolio with The Flying Bulls from the Red Bull world. Four aircraft models are initially planned around the P-51D Mustang and Vought F4U Corsair in 1:48 and 1:32 scale. The first two releases are due in October, with the remaining models following in November.
5. BRYX releases officially licensed Ottifanten sets
German brand BRYX is now offering Otto Waalkes’ cult Ottifanten characters as officially licensed building-brick sets. Several versions are available, from the classic Ottifant to Käppifant, Kotzifant and the Knutschifanten pair. The models range from 113 to 248 pieces and use printed elements throughout.
6. COBI announces new Christmas tree ornaments
COBI is adding two new Christmas models in October: a penguin head (20027) and a bear head (20028). The small hanging decorations contain 64 and 63 pieces respectively and include a loop so they can be hung on a Christmas tree or attached to gifts. The recommended retail price is €9.99 each.
7. BlueBrixx surprises with another Advent calendar
BlueBrixx’s Advent calendar line is growing again with the new Express Santa Specials (110196). Across 24 building steps, the 1,183-piece set becomes a Christmas train almost 78 centimetres long. Priced at €39.95, it joins the previously announced miniature worlds based around the Astronomer’s Manor and Planetarium.
8. Burg Blaustein is getting a huge base
BlueBrixx has shown a first prototype of the planned base for the complete Burg Blaustein display. The structure measures roughly 102 × 76.5 centimetres and is expected to contain around 6,000 pieces. It is designed to hold the castle, several expansions and a connected service courtyard, making it one of the range’s largest add-ons.
9. COBI reveals a regular-edition Panther Ausf. D
COBI’s new catalogue includes the Panzer V Panther Ausf. D (3146), a standard release of a model previously offered as a Limited Edition. The 1:35-scale set contains 773 pieces, includes one figure and carries a different turret number from the limited version. Its announced recommended retail price is €69.99.
10. BlueBrixx opens a new store in Dessau-Roßlau
On 1 October, BlueBrixx is opening another location in the Rathaus-Center in Dessau-Roßlau. Opening-day promotions and discounts on selected sets have been announced, while the first 100 visitors are expected to receive giveaway bags. The opening further expands BlueBrixx’s physical retail network in Germany.
