Our First WeDely Building Contest – A Complete Success!

The demand for participation spots at our Brixembourg exhibition has been steadily increasing over the past months. More and more brick builders wanted to showcase their creations and become part of our community. This presented us with a wonderful challenge: How could we provide a platform for all these talented builders?

The Birth of a New Idea

This is how the idea for our first Creator Contest was born. Each participant received a surface of 48 x 48 studs – a large baseplate where creativity could unfold freely. To make it even more exciting, we developed a competition with prizes. Fortunately, we were able to secure Wedely as a partner for this special event.

A Diversity That Inspires

The response exceeded our wildest expectations! Ten participants competed in this first edition, and the diversity of their creations was breathtaking. From movie references to various building styles and their own character worlds – our creators showed impressive creativity.

How the Voting Worked

The concept was deliberately kept simple: each visitor received a voting token at the entrance and could vote for their favorite MOC. The visitors took this task very seriously and discussed the various models thoughtfully. They had until Sunday at 3:00 PM to make their decision.

The Award Ceremony

After the exciting vote count, the winners were determined:

3rd Place: Jean-Marie with his Observatory Towers, inspired by the LEGO Friends series

2nd Place: Uwe with his impressive Japanese dojo

1st Place: Shane, our youngest participant at just 14 years old, captured the visitors' hearts with his Steam-Punk model "Captain Riddick's Metal Horizon Forge" and won by a significant margin.

Thank You and Outlook

We warmly congratulate all participants for their fantastic contributions and hope to see them again at future events.

For everyone already interested in the next edition: pre-registration is now possible! Feel free to sign up through our link.

In Loving Memory

At this point, we would especially like to remember Georg Griesheimer, the builder of the charming "Snowman Ervin". Georg sadly left us forever one week after this event. We will never forget him – both as a passionate LEGO builder and as a wonderful human being.

Rest in peace, Georg.

It was a completely successful event, and we are already looking forward to the next edition of our Creator Contest!
